The 19th edition of Project Qatar (PQ), the country’s largest and most prominent construction exhibition, will be held from May 29 to June 1 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The exhibition, to be held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, will enjoy the support of Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of the event’s organiser IFP Qatar, said this year’s exhibition would feature over 325 exhibitors, from 25 nations.

“Qatar’s construction industry presents enormous prospects, particularly under the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030, the government’s strategic growth plan. The 19th Project Qatar will play a significant role in achieving the QNV 2030 goals by highlighting regional products and the importance of Qatari industry to the national economy.”

“With the government’s assistance, the event presents several opportunities for local and foreign contractors to expand across Qatar. We’re excited to meet top exhibitors and visitors from around the world who’ll offer cutting-edge solutions for the industry,” he said.

The event will feature 120 international exhibitors from 25 countries, eight official country pavilions and 200 pavilions led by local companies.

Ashghal’s Director of Building Projects Department Engineer Jarallah Mohamed Al Marri said: “We’re participating in Project Qatar with a special pavilion for the seventh year in a row. Our strategic partnership with Project Qatar comes with the vision to enhance communications and partnerships with various private sector companies that contribute to the implementation of projects in the country.”

The Qatar National Convention Centre recently hosted the 'Build Your House' exhibition, which predominantly focused on individuals looking to construct houses in the country.
