Book lovers in Qatar should be feeling quite excited.

Come November 29 and the 29th edition of the Doha International Book Fair will kick off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The book fair, which is being organised by the Ministry of Culture and Sports under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will run until December 8, reported Gulf Times.

The mega event, which is expected to attract thousands of fans and book publishers from around the world, will be held under the theme ‘Doha, A City of Knowledge and Conscience.’

The book fair reflects the Ministry’s vision towards a conscious society with a pure conscience and a robust body.

Russia will be the Guest of Honour at the Doha International Book Fair in the framework of the Qatar-Russia 2018 Year of Culture, reported Qatar Tribune.

The Doha International Book Fair will not just be a market for book sales and trading, it is also envisioned as a powerful platform to promote intercultural exchange, dedicated human values and community development.
