In some exciting news for boat enthusiasts in the country, the seventh edition of the Qatar International Boat Show (QAWARIB 2020) has kicked-off at Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar.

His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari opened the exhibition yesterday.

One of the largest events of its kind exhibitions in the Middle East, QAWARIB 2020 is being held under the patronage of Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of State of Qatar HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.

The event has been organized by Al Mannai Plus Events since 2013.

At the opening yesterday, HE Al Kuwari was accompanied by the Chairman of Al Mannai Plus Events, Khalid bin Issa Al Mannai.

Some 18 brand new boats, most of which have been made in Qatar, are on display at the event, Al Mannai highlighted.

"The boats are showcased for sale, but the main purpose is to promote the products,” he said.

This year’s exhibition brings together a total of 33 companies, mostly local companies in addition to 158 international brands with local dealers, he mentioned.

Additionally, the event showcases some of the world’s finest yachts and marine equipment.

Visitors can also see luxury boats that have been made of high quality and refined skill. The venue in The Pearl-Qatar offers the perfect spot for visitors to enjoy the international boat show.

QAWARIB 2020 will run every day until Friday, November 20 from 2.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

Many well-renowned companies have come together to sponsor this event, including Ronautica Middle East, Qatar Airways, Milaha Qatar, Qatar Free Zone Authority, Vodafone Qatar, and Bentley Qatar.

Many representatives of these companies expressed their delight in being able to sponsor the event and supporting the nation as a regional hub for international events.
