The 7th annual Qatar International Boat Show (QAWARIB 2020) will take place at Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar from November 16 to November 20.
Khalid bin Issa Al Mannai, Chairman at AlMannai Plus Events, made the announcement at a ceremony recently.
QAWARIB 2020 falls under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of State of Qatar. The event will display the world’s finest yachts and marine equipment.
Hamad Issa Al Mannai, Chief Executive Officer, AlMannai Plus Events; Adel Salem, Retail and Office Management Director, United Development Company; Abdel Bomuttar Al Muhannadi, General Manager, Ronautica Middle East; Saleh Abdulla Al Harooni, Executive Vice President Support Services, Milaha Qatar; Ehab Amin, Senior Vice President Qatar, Qatar Airways; Fahad Zainal, Chief Zones Operating Officer and Chief Corporate Support Officer, Qatar Free Zones Authority; Mohamed Mohsen Alyafei, Head of Public Sector, Vodafone Qatar; and Wasim Al Omar, Sales Manager, Bentley Qatar were present during the ceremony.

Initially set to take place in March, Al Mannai stated that the event had to be either postponed or canceled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The impact of the coronavirus on the economy and tourism industry can be seen across the world, leading to this decision.
However, he said that by the grace of the Almighty God, the event will soon take place and this has been possible because of the valuable support of their partners, local exhibitors, and prestigious sponsors of the show.
He expressed his gratitude and thanked UDC Qatar, The Pearl-Qatar, and Ronautica Middle East for hosting the show. Moreover, he thanked the Ministry of Interior and the Coast Guard for their cooperation and support.
QAWARIB 2020 will convene 32 exhibitors this year, displaying international and local brands of yachts and boats.
Visitors can also see luxury boats that have been made of high quality and refined skill. The venue in The Pearl-Qatar offers the perfect spot for visitors to enjoy the international boat show.
“The event provides a single window to the luxury lifestyle enthusiasts of the region. It preserves the century's old relationship of the natives with the sea in addition to its role in positioning Qatar as a regional hub for luxury, highly skilled craftsmanship and most modern boats and marine-related accessories,” said Al Mannai.

He added that the event will be implementing all the required health safety instructions in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the safety of all visitors for his year’s event, including additional entrances and exits, monitoring the use of face masks, and the maintenance of social distancing.
Many well-renowned companies have come together to sponsor this event, including Ronautica Middle East, Qatar Airways, Milaha Qatar, Qatar Free Zone Authority, Vodafone Qatar, and Bentley Qatar.
Many representatives of these companies expressed their delight in being able to sponsor the event and supporting the nation as a regional hub for international events.
