Academic Bridge Program Reports Growth in Applications and Enrolment

Qatar Foundation's Academic Bridge Program has recorded a 35% increase in applications and enrolment during the current academic year compared with the previous year.

The number of enrolled students rose by 40% to 255. Their study interests were distributed across several academic pathways, with 45% choosing science, technology, engineering and mathematics, 26% social sciences, 25% humanities and visual arts, and 4% the newly launched medicine pathway.

A further 39 students joined through the Bridging Programme, which helps secondary school graduates from the literary stream transition to the scientific stream.

Qatari students account for 94% of this year's cohort, while international students make up 6%. Students have joined from countries including the United Kingdom, China and Syria.

The programme said 98% of last year's graduates enrolled in leading universities in Qatar and abroad, including 78% who joined universities in Education City, marking the highest overall university placement rate in the programme's 25-year history.
