Qatar will host the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education Forum 2026 on October 7 and 8, bringing together around 400 academics, quality assurance experts, researchers, decision-makers and university leaders from 11 countries.
Held under the patronage of HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al-Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, the forum will take place at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel. It is jointly organised by the Arab Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the National Committee for Qualifications and Academic Accreditation, in cooperation with the US-based Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
The forum will be held under the theme "Exploring Opportunities in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation" and will feature 70 international speakers and experts, 56 peer-reviewed research papers, four specialised workshops and high-level panel discussions.
Topics will include academic integrity and authentic assessment in the age of generative AI, responsible AI governance, digital transformation and data analytics, student and staff wellbeing, graduate readiness for the labour market and the ability of quality assurance systems to adapt to change and innovation.
Organisers received 86 research papers, which were reviewed by a specialised committee of 19 academics and experts before 56 were accepted for the forum's scientific programme. Twelve workshop proposals were also received, with four specialised workshops selected.
The forum is expected to provide a platform for international dialogue on the future of academic accreditation and quality assurance, as well as the exchange of expertise and leading practices in higher education.
Qatar currently has around 27 local and international higher education institutions offering more than 500 academic programmes across a range of disciplines.
Registration is open through the official ANQAHE 2026 forum website.
