Presented by the Doha Film Institute (DFI), the seventh edition of the Ajyal Film Festival 2019 concluded yesterday.

Ajyal Film Festival is one of the region's biggest and most popular film festivals. It brings the best of cinema from around the world to Doha audiences.

Ajyal Film Festival announced the winners of 2019:

The Audience Award for the seventh session goes to the Sudanese film “You Will Die at Twenty” by Amjad Abu Ala.

Bader Best Feature Film Award goes to “For Sama” by Waad Al-Kateab, Edward Watts.

Bader Best Short Film Award goes to “Ostrich Politic” by Mohamad HouHou.

Hilal Best Feature Film Award goes to “The Farewell” by Lulu Wang.

Hilal Best Short Film Award goes to “Maradona’s Legs” by Firas Khoury.

Mohaq Best Feature Film Award goes to “1982” by Oualid Mouaness.

Mohaq Best Short Film Award goes to “Child of The Earth” by Claudio Fah.

Best Narrative Film Award goes to “Falling Leaves” by Damitri Yuri.

Best Documentary Film Award goes to “In the Middle” by Mariam Al-Dubhani.

Abdulaziz Jassim Award for Best Performance goes to Abbas Riaz in “End of The Road” by Ahmad Al-Sharif.

Special Jury Mention went to “The Unlucky Hamster” by Abdulaziz Khashabi.

Special Jury Mention went to “Beit Byoot” by Mayar Hamdan.
