The 50th edition of HH the Amir Cup held at Khalifa International Stadium on Friday evening took place successfully. The victory was enjoyed by Al Duhail, who beat opponent Al Gharafa with a brutal score of 5-1.
Edmilson Junior scored the opening goal for Al Duhail in the 6th minute. Adding to this beauty of a shot, Michael Olunga netted the second goal in the 18th minute. Al Duhail's captain Almoez Ali scored the third goal in the 52nd minute.
However, in an attempt to open their account, Ahmed Alaaeildin scored a goal for Al Gharafa in the 53rd minute but Al Duhail retreated rather swiftly via Ferjani Sassi in the 58th minute to score the fourth goal for the team. Abdelrhman Moustafa scored a magnificent goal in the 85th minute as Al Duhail celebrated a 5-1 victory to win the 50th HH the Amir Cup.

The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani was present for the 50th edition of HH the Amir Cup final match.

HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdulla Al Ghanim and a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and ministers also spectated the match.
The FIFA President HE Gianni Infantino, various of dignitaries of Arab and international sports associations, a number of Their Excellencies members of the diplomatic corporations accredited to the State of Qatar, and football fans attended the match as well.
Post the match, HH the Amir handed over the trophy and gold medals to Al Duhail team, the winning team and the silver medals to Al Gharafa team.

The gold medal for the first edition of the championship in its first season in 1972 was given to His Highness the Amir.
