To further cement the friendly ties between Qatar and Ethiopia, Her Excellency the Spokesperson of Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah Al Khater participated in a series of meetings with Ethiopian ministers and officials recently.
HE the Spokesperson is visiting the capital of Ethiopia at the invitation of Director General of Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority Getachew Dinku.

Yesterday, she met separately with Ethiopia's Minister of Peace Muferiat Kamil and Trade and Industry Minister Misganu Arega in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
The meetings reviewed bilateral ties in addition to topics of mutual interest for the two nations.
Al Khater reiterated Qatar's support for the positive reforms Ethiopia is taking and called for promoting bilateral relations.
Kamil expressed Ethiopia's interest to work with Qatar in the areas of education, culture, media and economic development.

Meanwhile, the Ethiopian trade and industry minister underlined the promising prospect of increasing investments and trade ties between the two friendly states, during his meeting with Al Khater.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs met also with Dinku to discuss the ongoing media development collaboration between Qatar and Ethiopia.
They also explored ways to enhance this collaboration to advance professionalism and ethics in the region's media industry.

Al Khater visited the headquarters of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Company (EBC), Ethiopia's leading media network, where she met with its CEO Dr Nigussie Mitiku and witnessed firsthand the transformation the network has undergone with the support of Qatar.
She also met Nebiat Getachew, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ethiopia.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on regional and international issues and discussed further collaboration between the two friendly nations.
