Football fans in Qatar are set for a major showdown as Al Sadd take on Al Gharafa in the Amir Cup Final 2026 this weekend.
The final will be held on Saturday, 9 May 2026, at Khalifa International Stadium, with gates opening at 2:30pm and kick-off at 5:30pm.
A major final in Qatar’s football calendar
The Qatar Football Association and the Local Organising Committee for Football Events announced today their readiness to host the Amir Cup Final 2026, set to take place at Khalifa International Stadium on 9 May.
Now in its 54th edition, the Amir Cup is one of the country’s most prestigious tournaments. Eight teams — Al Gharafa, Umm Salal, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Arabi — competed between 1 and 8 May to reach the final.
Stadium and venue
The match will take place at Khalifa International Stadium in Aspire Zone. The venue holds around 45,000 fans and was extensively renovated ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, where it hosted several major matches. This year also marks 50 years since Khalifa International Stadium’s inauguration in 1976.
Tickets and how to book
Tickets are available from QAR 10, with the following categories:
- CAT 1: QAR 50
- CAT 2: QAR 30
- CAT 3: QAR 10
- Accessibility tickets: QAR 10 Accessibility ticket requests can be sent to accessibility.tickets@sc.qa.
Tickets are available at www.qfa.qa, with a limit of six per person. Once purchased, tickets will be delivered via the Road to Qatar app from 7 May.
Getting there
Fans are encouraged to arrive early. Gates open at 2:30pm. Transport options include:
- Doha Metro: Sports City Station (Gold Line) direct access to the stadium
- Taxis can use drop-off and pick-up points
- On-site parking is also available

The final is more than just a match. Fans can enjoy:

- Live shows and DJ sets
There will also be 73 prizes up for grabs, including cars, travel packages, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches and cash prizes.
