If you are looking to spend some time with your family, away from the madding crowds, during the holy month of Ramadan, then a trip to either Al Shamal or Al Khor would prove really helpful.
Ashghal has completed and delivered Corniche areas in both these localities, making it an attractive option for families and friends to gather together.
The renovation work of the Al Shamal Corniche was completed in a record time of two months, reported Gulf Times.
The Al Shamal Corniche will have 26 pergolas along the beach while 55 seats will be distributed between the pedestrian walkway and children’s area.
The project also includes two buildings for wash closets, a 2,000M children’s play area, 120 parking spaces paved with asphalt, irrigation works for plants and green areas.
While the first and second stages of the Al Khor Corniche have already been completed and open to the public, the third phase is expected to be finished by the first half of Ramadan, reported Qatar Tribune.
The project includes replacing the pedestrian walkway floor, which was made of concrete, with 22,500 square metres of granite and interlock with different designs, shapes and colours to give the Al Khor Corniche a distinctive, aesthetic character.
The children’s play area will be completely renovated and three new areas will be added. The play areas will open to the public within two months.
In addition, 256 seats and 46 pergolas will be provided as part of the project. The public toilets will be fully renovated and new facilities will be added for people with special needs.
Al Khor Corniche project also includes planting trees and providing 6,000SqM of green space.
