The Ali Bin Ali Group hosted its 9th annual Olympic day in-line with Qatar’s National Sports Day. Up to 2,500 employees and their families attended the event at Al Arabi Sports Club, 9th February, 2016.

            The event commenced with senior personnel of the Group lighting the traditional Olympic torch, followed by a range of sports-related activities and games for all staff, their families and children. The staff were then teamed-up to start their activities in four designated colors: red, orange, green and blue.

Mr. Adel Ali Bin Ali, the Chairman and President of the Ali Bin Ali Group expressed his gratitude to those who participated at the event and confirmed his support to the nation’s initiative in promoting a healthy lifestyle among its citizens and residents. “As our Emiri decree states, we should encourage healthy living standards in our communities. We have been celebrating the well-being of our employees and their families for the past 9 years by dedicating a whole day to sports and entertainment,” said Mr. Adel Ali Bin Ali.  He emphasized that this event is one of the many initiatives taken to support Qatar’s national vision.

The Head of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Mohammad Imran, shared his experience in hosting the 9^th Olympic day for the Group and said, “We are thrilled to see a major increase in the participation of our employees this year. The Olympic Day provides the chance for all members of all divisions to come together, interact, and enjoy a full day of sports and entertainment. As our slogan says, “together we work, together we play.”

Furthermore, the ABA Olympic Day did not only offer a range of activities, but it was also a great opportunity for the employees from various cultural backgrounds to get together and mingle in a relaxed setting.  The event ended on a positive note with medals, prizes, raffle draws, and social media contests.
