One of the most hyped tech of the year, Sony’s PlayStation 5, has got console gamers excited after Sony’s recent event highlighting what the console looks like and the new games that are going to be released.

Sony has gone above and beyond with this year’s fairly larger console and the base model comes in black and white matt finish. If you look really closely, you can see that the texture of the PlayStation 5 has been designed with the X, circle, square, and triangle symbols, iconic to the PlayStation controller.

The back panel of the PS5 comes with one HDMI, a Lan port, 2 USB ports, and a Kensington lock, whereas, the front panel is equipped with a full-sized USB port, USB Type C port, a disc eject button, and the power button.

Sony has announced that they have two models of the PS5, with the only difference being the availability of a disk drive. As a result, the digital version of the PS5 will be more priced lower than the standard PS5 that comes with the disk drive for games and Blu-ray discs.

The latest and greatest PlayStation console is their most powerful creations yet, enabling you to play games at 4k resolution and 60 frames per second. This is possible because of AMD’s Zen 2 CPU clocked at 3.5GHz and a GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture, pushing the barrier for gaming performance and enabling ray tracing in certain games.

The PS5’s new UI offers distinct new features in the new UI but will be a seamless transition for owners of the previous generation of consoles. It now also comes with an 826 GB SSD, indicating way faster loading times and installation of games in comparison to the previous PlayStation console.

DualSense wireless controller

Sony has put a lot of effort into its new controller and is visible as soon as you unpack it. The controller is slightly larger with longer stems, a rechargeable battery with a USB type C port, and improved triggers with Sony’s all-new trigger control feature.

The controller is still lightweight and still comes with a headphone port that you all loved in the previous model. It also lights up when charging and will indicate when the controller is charging and is fully charged.

DualSense Charging Station

The DualSense charging station comes with a charging dock that can charge up to two controllers, a power brick, and a power cable.

This will come in handy with your new console and it will free up more USB ports on the PlayStation 5. Although the controller easily clicks into the charging port, it does not feature any magnets.

PULSE 3D wireless headset

Sony one of the market leaders in the headphone market and included many valuable features in its new wireless headset for the PS5. It comes with a minimal design and matches the black and white theme of the PS5 console and DualSense controller.

It features a dual-mic system for better mic quality and noise cancellation, 12-hour battery life, and 3D audio with games that support it.  

The headphone itself is very light and has a USB type C port for charging, headphone jack for wired connection, and can be connected to the PS5 with a USB dongle to connect wirelessly to any device.

PS5 HD camera

The Full HD (1080p) camera comes with an adjustable frame that can sit on your TV and lets the user capture their favorite moments in real-time. Moreover, it has the ability to crop the background or lose it completely with a green screen.

PlayStation 5 prices

Although prices have yet to be revealed in Qatar, it has been identified that the price for the standard PlayStation 5 will be QAR 2,199 and is currently available for pre-order on certain websites and retail stores. Here is a list of retail or online stores that will sell the new PlayStation 5.

Technical Care Center

TCC is allowing customers to pre-order the new PlayStation 5 console through their website. Moreover, you send put in your contact details to be informed of when the console will be available in their retail stores.

Fnac Qatar

Fnac had announced that you can visit their retail outlets in Lagoona Mall or Doha Festival City to pre-order your new PlayStation 5.  

They have limited stocks of the standard PlayStation 5 and are limiting orders to one console per customer. Moreover, a down-payment will be required to confirm your pre-order.

Lulu Hypermarket

Their online shopping indicates that the new-gen console will be available for pre-order. According to its website, the standard model will soon be available for QAR 2,199.

Geekaygames Qatar

Although they run out of stock for pre-order, you can be notified when their retail or online store has more PS5 consoles available through their website. They too have the standard edition for QAR 2,199.

All of these stores have limited stock of the PlayStation 5. However, it is expected that many more stores will soon have the console in stock, including Jarir Bookstore, Virgin Megastore, Carrefour, and more.
