Ashghal’s Supervisory Committee for the Beautification of Roads and Public Spaces in Qatar is now welcoming registrations for the ‘Zeeenah’ initiative through a dedicated website. The said news was announced on their social media handles and invites schools, individuals, businesses, government entities, and public spaces to beautify and decorate the facades of their workplaces and plazas. This is a part of the beautification initiative to boost the community’s interest and excitement for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

The registration for ‘Zeeenah’ involves two stages namely the pre-implementation and then the implementation. First the applicant has to submit a descriptive idea for decoration and drawings by choosing a category on the registration portal and filling in the information. If there are no violations, the candidates will be contacted to implement their ideas and finally submit their executed artwork pictures.

The ’Zeeenah’ initiative is not just to facilitate the participation of the citizens and residents in the global sporting tournament, but also to encourage the beautification of the country through artworks. This will add to the spirit of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and exhibit the nation’s excitement in being the host country.

The initiative will also conduct a competition across three categories and will also reward the winners with cash awards. The said initiative is conducted in collaboration with the Ashghal (Public Works Authority)’s Supreme Committee for the Beautification of Roads and Public Spaces, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, Qatar Museums, Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), Ministry of Municipality (MoM), Ministry of Culture and Industry (MoCI), and Central Municipal Council.
