Aura Group recently hosted its first-ever Ramadan Padel Tournament in collaboration with Palma Hospitality Group, Moka Cafe, The Zone, and Asics. The event took place from April 17th to April 20th, 2023, at The Zone Club, The Eighteenth Tower, Lusail, featuring five padel courts for participants to compete in a group stage and knockout format.

The tournament featured five categories: Men A, Men B, Men C, MIX A, and MIX B/C, with players divided based on their experience level.

The tournament saw the participation of over 230 players in five categories, including the first-time official MIX category in Qatar.

The Men A category was reserved for advanced and professional players, while Men B and C were for intermediate and beginner players, respectively. MIX A was open to advanced and professional players, while MIX B/C was for beginner and intermediate players. The tournament offered a prize pool of 70,000 QR, with the winners of each category taking home a cash prize. 

Qatar National padel team players, including Mohammad Sadoon AlKuwari, Abdulaziz Sadoon AlKuwari, Mohammad AlKhanji, and Jabor AlMotawa, also participated in the tournament, adding to the high level of competition.

The winners of the tournament were as follows:

Mix B: Beltran Choya and Patricia Gonzalez

Mix A: Pablo Gomez and Rocio Soto

Category C: Jan Wajgt and Diego Pedrero

Category B: Ahmad Tbayshat and Kais Rustom

Category A: Jaber Al Mutawa and Guillem Blasi 

The tournament was covered by Qatar TV, and the whole Padel community in Qatar followed the results of the games and attended matches. More than 400 spectators were present during the tournament. 

The Aura Group Ramadan Padel Tournament was a highlight of the Ramadan calendar and demonstrated the high talent level in Qatar's Padel community.
