The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has warned against selling or distributing Foot Patch, an unlicensed health and beauty product with dubious claims to instantly remove toxins from the body.

According to a report on The Peninsula, the Pharmacy and Drug Control Department at SCH clarified that this product is not registered in Qatar and its circulation contravenes Law No. 1 of 1986 on registration of drug companies and their products.

The department said that the product, a patch that can be attached to the bottom of the foot, contains incorrect medical claims. It added that a circular banning its distribution in the country had been issued.

The product specifications claim that it takes only one night to discharge poisonous substances from the body, after wearing “one piece of sticker”.

“The greasy toxin can be flowed out from the bottom of foot”. The product also claims to “relieve muscles ache”, “nourish and strengthen the kidneys,” improve blood circulation and give relief from fatigue and foot odours.
