Qatar's humanitarian spirit is not unknown to those who call the country home. However, it has been even more evident in today's unprecedented times as the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic.
The country has extended a helping hand to several nations in need of support to tackle the virus while also introducing praiseworthy initiatives locally to minimize the negative impact of the crisis.
Earlier in April, Qatar's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs had announced that with the support of Hifz Al Naema, it will give out food baskets to over 1000 needy families for three months.
Now, the Ministry has announced that it has launched the third phase of the program.
