The Big 5 Construct Qatar is backed by, Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), strategic partner, and will run at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from September 23-25.
Renewed support to the country’s premier construction event comes in the backdrop of a successful launch in 2018, which facilitated business opportunities and international investments in Qatar’s $75bn construction project market.
Matt Denton, President of dmg events, Loubna Aghzafi, Country Manager of dmg events, Ahmed AlObaidli from Qatar National Tourism Council, Mr. Ali Al Marri of Taleb Group, Mr. Ali Chahrour, Group Development Manager of Al Darwish Engineering were present at the press conference.

With a mission to support the expanding requirements of Qatar’s construction, transport and infrastructure sectors, the event is proud to serve its strategic objectives and National Vision 2030.”

According to the latest, MEED Projects report commissioned by The Big 5 Construct Qatar, the country’s long-term National Vision 2030 and preparations for the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 continue to see increased construction demands.
Projects worth $4.5bn have been awarded in Qatar in the first six months of 2019, with just under $5bn worth of contracts currently being bid upon. Of the remainder, more than $23bn worth of projects are in the design stage and expected to come out for bid over the next 24 months, while projects valued at more than $46bn are currently in the study stage. All this indicates a healthy pipeline of construction activity in the country.
Ahmed Al-Obaidli, from Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), stated: “The business events sector is an important pillar of QNTC’s wider strategy to develop tourism in Qatar. We value the contribution of business event organizers such as dmg events (Doha) in attracting both international and regional business players to the country. We look forward to welcoming construction professionals from around the world at the Big 5 Construct Qatar 2019. Here, they will be able to witness first-hand the opportunities generated by Qatar’s mission to create world-class infrastructure for citizens, residents, and visitors.”
Qatar’s construction community will be able to source thousands of the latest products and solutions to meet the country’s future projects demand at the event.
Offering a dedicated platform where international and regional construction players can meet face-to-face, do business and learn in Doha, the 2019 edition of the event will host 150 exhibitors from 20 countries.
More than just an exhibition, The Big 5 Construct Qatar will also provide industry professionals with invaluable learning opportunities in the form of over 35 free to attend CPD (Continuing Professional Development) certified courses.
