One of the members of the hugely popular K-Pop group BTS, Jungkook, has been confirmed to both release an official soundtrack and perform at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
BTS made the statement this morning on their official Twitter account, with less than a week till the start date.

Jeon Jungkook is also affectionately called as JK or Kookie by fans and is one of the most popular global artists expected to perform at the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Jeon Jungkook, the band's youngest member, arrived in Qatar for a brief visit last month, and his name and the hashtag "Welcome to Qatar Jungkook" trended on Twitter.
ARMYs in Qatar were overjoyed to see the musician at many of the country's most visited attractions on October 25. These included Souq Waqif and Katara.
