Qatar’s Department of Meteorology has said that weather inshore today until 6pm will be relatively cold to moderate in temperature.

There will be scattered clouds around the country, and the weather will sometimes be partly cloudy, with light rain in places.

The daily weather report also stated that the country would experience cold weather at night.

Offshore, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with light rain at first, said the report. It also warned people of strong winds and high sea.

It further said wind inshore would blow in the northwesterly direction, at speeds of five to 15 knots, climbing up to 20 knots at places at times.

Offshore too, the wind will blow in northwesterly direction, though speeds could vary from 10 to 20 knots and climb to 24 knots at times.

Sea waves are expected to be in the two- to five-foot range inshore. Offshore, it could be between three to six feet, rising to eight feet at times.

While visibility inshore will be five to 10km, offshore, it is expected to be five to nine kilometres.
