The consultative meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers, chaired by His Excellency Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani concluded yesterday.
This was the first meeting between the Arab ministers since they reached an agreement in February to intensify consultative meetings.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a statement was issued highlighting that the Ministers discussed the developments of the Palestinian issues and that they were briefed by the Palestinian Foreign Ministers.
There were interventions by most of the heads of delegations on these developments, especially in light of the formation of the new Israeli government that has started its work with extremely negative statements about peace, the Palestinians and the chances of a settlement.

The statement condemns and denounces those Israeli statements as well as Israel's emphasis on conducting a march in the occupied East Jerusalem, noting that this may ignite a similar crisis as seen recently.
The statement added that the meeting also delved into the developments of the Iranian nuclear file negotiations, and the Iranian behavior in the region, as well as the Arab dealing with the crisis in Syria and ways of maximizing the Arab role in this regard.
