Qatar’s Duty-Free range in beauty products at the Hamad International Airport has the world’s most famous brands on offer. Pressed for time between flights or simply hypnotized by the offerings from Rome, Paris or New York is no unusual feeling for anyone browsing at Hamad.

QL Lifestyle takes charge in taking home the hugely popular, Crème de la Mer by Estee Lauder Companies and brings you our take.
Estee lauder Companies, established in 1946, is a world leader in women’s beauty products. The company had global news stations abuzz in 1995 when it purchased, ‘a miracle broth’ from an unknown astrophysicist, Dr Max Huber.
Leaders in the science of beauty, Estee Lauder Companies, were convinced as to the work of Dr Huber. The astrophysicist experienced chemical burns in a laboratory accident leaving his skin scaly and dry. Dr Huber began twelve years of work and conducted over 6000 experiments to create the ‘miracle broth’ which transformed his burned, charred skin back to its natural healthy state.
Crème de la Mer, as it is known today, and as part of Estee Lauder Companies, is marketed as the international benchmark in beauty face creams because of its deeply nourishing and hydrating ability.
Key is that it has has proven results in improving skin that has already aged rather than being just anti-aging.
The product still uses the same fermentation process discovered by Dr Huber of turning sea kelp and other pure ingredients into a formula that ‘visibly plumps up skin and fills dry lines, while soothing and calming skin’ in a short space of time.
Crème de la Mer is also one of the most expensive beauty creams in the world.
What did QL Lifestyle team think?
At first touch, the texture is quite thick with a lovely, strong fragrance. Only a small amount is required but be sure to warm up between your fingertips before applying to get the right consistency.
Within seven uses there was definite new radiance and clarity to our skin but a touch more shine than we would have liked. The cell-renewing ingredient, ‘elixir’ does have the ‘regenerating powers’ the product boasts about and within two weeks, fine lines seemed to disappear, but the shine was just not decreasing.
In fact, because the product tries to get a dozen or so different antioxidants and nutrients into your skin, you may actually end up with greasy skin. Be very certain that you know your skin type before purchasing.
For drier, more mature skin, this would work to plump the skin and fill both open pores and wrinkles, giving a more youthful appearance.
With celebrities like Khloe Kardashian, Jessica Hart and Chrissy Teigen raving about Crème de la Mer, we also agree the ‘miracle broth’ has a definite market.
It is no surprise that Crème de La Mer has now reached the billion-dollar sales figure.
For skin under 40 years of age, that is not dry, however, this may not be a product you need to invest in right now. People with allergy issues may experience irritation as well. For the more mature woman, with dry skin, give this a try knowing it will take years off you with its signature ability to plump and regenerate.
The product is especially recommended for mature women in Qatar where the temperatures can seriously dry and damage even the healthiest of skins.
Crème de la Mer is a worthwhile investment in yourself to reverse the signs of aging, brought to you by science through Estee Lauder Companies and available now, right here in Qatar.
