Due to the Corniche road closures, Doha Metro has announced that metro services will be available to the public on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 2 pm till midnight.

Ashghal had announced the temporary closure of Corniche Street last week, stating that the four-day closure will go into effect from 12 am on Friday, August 6 until 5 am on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.

Moreover, Metro services will continue to be suspended on Friday 13, 2021, and Friday, August 20, 2021, due to essential system upgrades across the network. The system upgrades will help increase network capacity and frequency.

Doha Metro stated that all 37 metro stations will remain open and accessible to commuters throughout the shutdown on Corniche Road.
