Those who are travelling through the Doha Corniche on Friday and Saturday should be careful as there will be a partial closure at one stretch of the street.

Qatar’s Public Works Authority Ashghal announced that the street at the Post Office Interchange will be closed from Friday 1pm until Saturday evening, reported Gulf Times.

The closure will take place over two consecutive stages. The first stage will include closing a part of the main Corniche Street in the direction from Doha Sheraton Hotel to the Ministry of Interior, reported The Peninsula

Road users will need to turn right onto Al Markhiya Street to get to Lekhwair Intersection and make a U-turn to go back to Corniche Street.

Once the first stage is completed, work will begin on stage two, which includes closing the slip roads going from Corniche Street into and out of Al Markhiya Street. Road users will have to stop at the interchange in front of the Post Office and turn onto Al Markhiya Street and vice versa.
