Education Above All Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has launched an event titled "From Learning to Leadership: Empowering Youth" to mark International Youth Day.
The event, which runs at Place Vendôme Mall until August 16, highlights pathways for youth empowerment and their role in development through a series of interactive stations that allow visitors to explore young people’s experiences and priorities.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment by the foundation and the ministry to supporting young people and strengthening their contribution to development at both national and global levels.
Among the interactive stations is "Youth Empowerment: Horizons Without Limits", which introduces visitors to the ways in which Education Above All Foundation and the Ministry of Sports and Youth work together to support young people in education, employment and volunteering.
Another station, "Youth Call", presents recorded messages from beneficiaries, education advocates and Qatar’s youth delegates to the United Nations. The "Threads of Change" experience also gives visitors an opportunity to share their interests and learn about future participation opportunities.
Alia Fakhroo, Advocacy Officer at Education Above All Foundation, said the event aims to provide platforms that enable young people to turn learning into leadership and opportunities into the ability to take initiative. She also stressed the importance of placing young people’s voices and experiences at the heart of future opportunities.
Fawaz Al-Mesifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, said International Youth Day provides an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of investing in young people. He added that the ministry is working to expand national partnerships and build an integrated system that enables young people to discover their potential and turn their ideas into initiatives with sustainable impact.
The event is supported by Education Above All Foundation’s strategic partner, Qatar Fund for Development, and is being held in collaboration with Place Vendôme Mall, providing an interactive platform that promotes youth participation as active partners and leaders of change.
