One of the most significant statistical projects to gather the latest data of individuals, families, buildings, and establishments in Qatar, the Qatar Census 2020 entered its final phase earlier this year.

Now, the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) has announced that it will launch the field work for the final phase on Sunday.

Carried out by over 2,000 field researchers, the field work for the final phase of Qatar Census 2020 will run until mid-January, 2021.

The field work will involve providing three options to the head of the family to provide the required data. These include:

1. Participating in a direct interview with the researcher
2. Choosing to fill an enveloped form that will be given out by the researcher during the field visit. In this, the individuals can fill out the form in a timely manner and return it to researchers on another day within the census period.
3. Filling out an electronic form on the PSA website

PSA urged citizens and residents to cooperate with the field researchers and provide them with accurate and correct data. This is important, as the data would assist in drawing up the state's development policies and plans.

Furthermore, the Authority confirmed that field researchers have been given necessary training on precautionary measures, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, to ensure the safety of all.

The Authority also highlighted that the online registration service will remain available until January 7, 2021.

This method is considered one of the latest technological methods applied in field censuses and surveys in collecting data through an online form available to all Qataris, whether inside or outside the country, in addition to non-Qataris residing within the country, PSA said.
