H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, VC and CEO OF Qatar Foundation; H E Hassan Al Thawadi, General Secretary of SC; and FIFA President Gianni Infantino were present at the signing of the MoUs and attended the ceremonies.

The agreements entitle the three organizations to roll out the Football for Schools (F4S) program in Qatar. In collaboration with UNESCO, the initiative by FIFA will contribute to the education, development, and empowerment of nearly 700 million children globally. It also aims to make sports more accessible to children around the world through the incorporation of football activities in the education system.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino also announced the partnerships post-signings, and said, “To be able to positively impact society through the power of football is a shared goal and responsibility between each of our organizations, and using sport to reach the next generation is something all three place at the forefront of everything they do.” He added that the three entities look forward to delivering many such common projects aimed at delivering Football for Schools (F4S) in Qatar.

QF and GA also additionally hosted a launch event at the Generation Amazing Community Club, located a short distance from Lusail Stadium. Three FIFA World Cup stars: Youri Djorkaeff, CEO of FIFA Foundation, and two FIFA legends—Tim Cahill (Australia) and Nigel de Jong (Netherlands) joined more than 80 school children from across Qatar to participate in football and educational activities.

There is also a free digital application utilized by F4S program that is accessible via Google Play and Apple App store for the inclusion of various training modules. These modules will aim to help physical education teachers, coaches, and parents to manage F4S activities in educational institutions. This aligns with QF and GA’s vision to be more inclusive and incorporate sustainability modules that promote information on regenerative education.
