The nominees for the Best FIFA Player Awards have been released! The respected honours will be handed out in a ceremony on 17 January 2022. FIFA has presented the final nominee list for best player, best coach, best goal keeper of both male and female categories this week.

As per tradition, captains and coaches of every national team associated with FIFA will vote for the winners, the deal being that one cannot vote for a player from your own team!

The nominees are as follows:

Best FIFA Men’s player

Mohammed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool FC)
Robert Lewandowski (Poland/FC Bayern München)

Best FIFA Women’s player 

Jennifer Hermoso (Spain/FC Barcelona)

Alexia Putellas (Spain/ FC Barcelona).

Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper 

Gianluigi Donnarumma (Italy/Paris Saint-Germain)

Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper

FIFA Puskas Award Nominees

Erik Lamela (Argentina)

The FIFA Puskas Awardis given to the player who has scored the most beautiful or aesthetic goal, without considering the competition in which the goal took place, nor the gender or nation of the goalscorer.

The ceremony will take place in Zurich and will be telecasted live on January 17, 2022 on FIFA's various media channels, including YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, as well as its official website.
