Building on its earlier efforts to support the people of Afghanistan, Qatar has sent a fifth plane with humanitarian assistance to Kabul.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) announced that the humanitarian aid was provided by Qatar Charity in coordination with Qatar Fund for Development.
The 25-tonne shipment included medical and food aid, according to MOFA.

With the arrival of the fifth Qatari plane carrying relief items, the total humanitarian aid from Qatar to Afghanistan has reached 118 tonnes, until now.
Qatar has gone above and beyond to support the people of Afghanistan and help the country as it undergoes a transitional period.

Recently, His Excellency Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani stressed that Qatar will continue to play its role as an international mediator on Afghanistan and coordinate with all friendly countries to ensure the rights of Afghans.
He has also stressed Qatar's stance that the international community must join hands to provide humanitarian aid and assistance to Afghans under the present situation and that the aid should be independent of political calculations.
