The first day of Eid Al-Fitr in Qatar will be on Thursday, May 13, 2021, the Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has confirmed.

The Committee, which was headed by its chairman Sheikh Dr Thaqil Al Shammari, met immediately after sunset (Maghreb) prayer at the Committee's headquarters in the Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs' building in Al Dafna.

According to Awqaf, tomorrow, May 12, 2021, will be the last day of Ramadan.

Muslims in Qatar will mark the blessed occasion of Eid on Thursday, May 13, 2021.

Earlier, the Ministry has announced that the Eid al-Fitr prayer will be held at 5.05 am.

Awqaf released a list of over a thousand mosques and prayer grounds that will be opened for worshippers for the Eid prayer this year. This list is available here.

All safety measures and precautionary guidelines will be implemented to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.
