After an extended winter, the first signs of spring are upon the country. The Qatar Calendar House has announced that the Hameemain (two heats) season will start today, March 8, and last for the next 26 days.
The length of day and night will become equal in the middle of the season. With the weather turning hot during the day, it will mark the start of the spring season in all the regions, including Qatar.
Meanwhile, the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) said tonight would be the first night for the sighting of the Saad Al Saud star, which announces the start of the spring season. The star, which will be visible for the next 13 days, will be characterised by weather fluctuations in the country.
