To provide football fans using public transport during the FIFA World Cup period with a hassle free experience, Doha Metro and Lusail Tram announced that from November 10 to December 23, 2022, Hayya card holders can travel for free as part of the “Hayya” onboard campaign.
The Hayya card (Fan ID) which is your entry permit to Qatar is a mandatory requirement for all individuals attending the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches. For further information regarding the Hayya card please download the Hayya app or visit https://www.qatar2022.qa/.

Additionally, Qatar Rail also announced that 35 more gates have been installed in 9 Doha Metro Stations. According to Qatar Rail, these Metro stations are those connected to fan zones and stadiums. Qatar Rail added that these gates have been installed expecting an increase in passenger turnout during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 period.
These initiatives implemented by Doha Metro and Lusail Tram and Qatar Rail are part of the measures taken by Qatar to ensure that football fans from around the world have a top-notch experience during the FIFA World Cup Period.
