Qatar’s Aspire Park is all set to host the Friendship parade for expatriate communities, a day before the official Qatar National Day.

The Friendship Parade, which will bring together thousands of expatriates who call the country home, will begin at 3pm today at the Aspire Zone premises, reported The Peninsula.

The parade, which is being held for the second year in a row, will once again show the love and unity which exists between expatriate communities in Qatar.

The parade, which is being organised by the Organising Committee of Qatar National Day 2018 and the Foreign Ministry’s Protocol Department, saw people from almost 55 nationalities taking part. This year, those numbers are expected to go much higher.

Communities will present their culture and folklore through stalls set-up in the Aspire Park. The participants will also highlight their contributions to the development and progress of Qatar.

Meanwhile, the Aspire Park will be closed during the duration of the parade. The gates will remain closed from 2.30pm to 4.30pm today, reported The Peninsula.
