Beginning Sunday, you should keep in mind certain changes to parking spots if you are going to visit the Hamad General Hospital.
The hospital, keeping up with its commitment of ensuring convenient parking spots for patients and visitors, has decided to make some changes beginning September 2, reported Gulf Times.
According to the new parking plan, the area situated directly in front of HGH’s main entrance will be reserved for exclusive use by patients and visitors. A small portion of it will be dedicated for valet parking services, reported The Peninsula.

Meanwhile, the multi-storey parking facility next to the HGH Outpatient Department has been earmarked for use by the hospital’s staff members. This parking facility can also be used by patients and visitors, provided the main parking area is filled.
Parking areas at HGH that are designated for HMC clinicians can only be accessed between 5am and 2pm, by pass holders, and will be available only to clinical staff.
After 2pm, these areas will be unlocked and open for patient and visitor parking.
Cars remaining in these parking areas after 5am without a relevant pass will be fined by the Ministry of Interior’s Traffic Department.
“Every day, thousands of patients, visitors and staff use parking areas at HGH. We’re always looking at new ways to ensure our patients and visitors have access to convenient parking at all of our facilities,” Nagi Khamis Al Mannai, Executive Director for Real Estate Development at HMC, said.
