Hassad Food had announced that it had concluded the development of the new camel market in Abu Nakhla.

The new camel market aims to serve the needs of livestock owners, in addition to meeting the needs of the local livestock sector in the State of Qatar.

According to Hassad Chief Executive Officer Eng Mohamed Al Sadah, “In line with our investment strategy, which includes supporting and developing projects that support in achieving food security for the state of Qatar, it is our pleasure to announce the completion of the new camel market located in Abu Nakhla. As we aim to satisfy the needs of livestock owners and support in developing the local livestock sector”. 

Spanning on a land area of 70,000 sq., the camel market includes 30 camel barns, 45 shops for fodder and other services, an auction area that spans 3200 sq., in addition to a slaughterhouse and Majlis for livestock owners.

Aswaq for Food Facilities Management, a subsidiary of Hassad, will be following clear and well-studied criteria when managing the new camel market to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 

Hassad Food had also successfully developed the central market in A’Sailiya, Al Wakra, and Umm Salal with the of promoting self-sufficiency during the last two years.
