His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the President of Brazil Jair Bolsonaro held official talks at the Amiri Diwan earlier today.
The discussions were centered on bilateral ties between Qatar and Brazil and ways to further cement relations, particularly in the domains of investment, economy, defense, energy and sports.

The Brazilian President presented HH the Amir with the Brazilian National Medal, which is the highest Brazilian decoration awarded to heads of state and government.
HH the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet at the Amiri Diwan in honor of the Brazilian president and the delegation accompanying him. The banquet was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers and businessmen.

Following his meeting with President Bolsonaro, HH the Amir said (in a tweet), "Today, I discussed with His Excellency the President @jairbolsonaro aspects of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between Qatar and Brazil to achieve the aspirations of our two friendly peoples in the fields of defense, economy, culture and sports, and we also discussed the most important issues of common interest. I wish His Excellency and the accompanying delegation a good stay in Doha."
