His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani graced the graduation ceremony of the 15th batch of the Ahmed Bin Mohamed Military College yesterday.

With a total of 119 graduates, the batch includes candidates from Kuwait, Jordan, Sudan, Tunisia, Libya, and Mauritania in addition to Qatar.

The graduates have completed all required internal and external field training and exercises.

The Qatari graduates are all set to join Qatar’s Armed Forces, Amiri Guard, Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and State Security Bureau while graduates of other countries are ready to become a part of their countries’’ military wings.

The graduation ceremony was also attended by Qatar’s new Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, His Excellency Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani and several other ministers as well as high ranking officials from Qatar and other brotherly countries.

The ceremony kicked off with the Qatari National anthem after which HH the Amir inspected a guard of honor before moving on to honor ten top-performing graduates.

The graduating batch then passed on the flag to the 16th batch and the order for promotions was announced.

Staff Colonel Abdulhadi Mohamed Al Hajri, Commander of the Military College, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

He said that HH the Amir’s presence on the occasion was a source of pride for the graduates who have worked hard to accomplish their success and are ready to follow in the footsteps of the previous generations to serve their homeland.

He further highlighted that under HH the Amir’s vision, the Military College has served as a place to enhance brotherly ties with other friendly countries.

Members from Iraq and Rwanda joined for the first time with this batch, he mentioned.

He said that the college continues to encourage bilateral cooperation between brotherly nations and this is reflected in joint exercises as part of the military training at the institute.

The ceremony ended with the graduates taking the oath followed by the national anthem.

Earlier, on Wednesday, HH the Amir also honored graduates of Al Zaeem Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah Air College at its headquarters in Al Udied Air Base.
