HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has been one of the first and strongest voices to speak in support of Palestine. He was also one of the first world leaders to condemn Israel and their recent series of attacks on the Gaza Strip.

HH The Amir received a written message from the President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday.

The message included an invitation for Sheikh Tamim to participate in a summit — about recent developments in Palestine, the nation’s future and the peace process — scheduled to be held in Cairo on October 21.

Egypt’s Ambassador to Qatar Amr El Sherbiny delivered the message to HH The Amir during an official visit to Sheikh Tamim’s office at the Amiri Diwan on Monday morning.

During the meeting, El Sherbiny conveyed the greetings of Egyptian President El Sisi to Sheikh Tamim and also wished Qatari people further progress and development. 

HH the Amir, in return, conveyed his best regards to the Egyptian president and wished the people of his country continued progress and prosperity.

Bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen them were also discussed during the meeting.
