HH The Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will begin his visit to the USA today, with a trip to the US Central Command in Tampa, Florida, where he will meet with its commanders.

HH The Emir will meet with US President Donald Trump on April 10 in Washington, DC, at the invitation of the US President, reported  Gulf Times.

The Emir and the US President will discuss means of enhancing strategic relations between the two countries in various fields, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The trip, which will last several days, will see Sheikh Tamim travel to Miami, where he will meet with a number of US officials to strengthen Qatari-US relations in the economic, trade and investment fields.

In Washington, HH The Emir will also meet a number of ministers, members of the US Congress and senior officials. He is accompanied by an official delegation and a number of businessmen.
