HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued Amiri Decision No. 32 of 2026 restructuring the Board of Trustees of Qatar National Library.
Under the decision, the board will be chaired by HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, with HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani serving as Vice Chairperson.
The new board members are HE Dr. Sheikha bint Abdullah Al Misnad, the Secretary-General of The National Archives of Qatar, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham, the Vice President for Research and Innovation at Qatar University, and a representative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, to be selected by HE the Minister of Communications and Information Technology in coordination with the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.
The decision takes effect immediately upon its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
