Qatar is continuing its efforts to develop police education and security training as the Supreme Council of the Police Academy held its first meeting of 2026.

HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior, Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy, chaired the meeting at the Ministry of Interior’s headquarters.

Members of the Council attended the meeting, which focused on academic and training matters related to the Police Academy.

The Council approved the academic degrees of students who had completed the requirements for master’s degrees through the College of Graduate Studies.

It also reviewed several matters within the Academy’s areas of responsibility and adopted the appropriate decisions.

The meeting formed part of Qatar’s continued efforts to strengthen the Academy’s educational and training system and enhance its role in preparing qualified security personnel.
