Anyone who has visited the Hamad International Airport (HIA) at least once will have no doubt about how beautiful the airport looks. The many art installations inside the airport adds to the beauty of the place.

If you had any doubts about how beautiful the airport really is, then this list, created by Business Insider, may provide some insight. The reputed news organisation has listed the HIA as one of the to-14 most beautiful airports in the world.

The American financial news website selected the top 14 airports based on architectural features and amenities, reported The Peninsula.

“Some parts of its interior look like a modern art museum,” the website noted on its description of the HIA.

The Vancouver International Airport (Canada), Changi Airport (Singapore), Kuala Lumpur International Airport (Malaysia) and Marrakesh Menara Airport (Morocco) were some of the other prominent airports that made it to list.

HIA is currently a candidate for the “Best Airport in the World” award by Skytrax, which also classified it as a five-star airport in 2017, making it one among only five other airports in the world to achieve this prestigious status.

Earlier this year, HIA was ranked sixth Best Airport in the World by the 2017 Skytrax World Airport Awards, moving up four places from 2016.

HIA has also won the "Best Airport in the Middle East" title for three years in a row and "Best Staff Service in the Middle East" for two years in a row.
