Hamad International Airport has begun to test out the concept of allowing limited access to the departures and arrivals curbsides to authorized vehicles only. The new curbside advisory instructs the general public vehicles  to use the available car park facilities for pick-up and drop-off of passengers--the trials of which will begin from June 13, 2022, from 10 am onwards. 

This move is being implemented to safeguard the customer experience, security, and safety. 

HIA is also willing to offer a grace period of 20 minutes without charge for easy passenger drop-off and pick-up within the Short Term Car Park area, during the entire trial period. This will ease off the whole process and also make it convenient for customers.

Payment for short-term car parking must be made at the machines located before the carpark, on level 2. There are no payment options available at the exit of the car park. In order to avoid delays or inconvenience, kindly pay at the building before exiting towards the parking.

The bus pavilion, taxi pavilion, metro station, car parking, car rental, and limousine services are all conveniently located within walking distance from the airport’s arrivals and departure hall.
