How Women Work have officially unveiled the theme of the 6th Annual Conference at a press conference held at (QBIC), the Qatar Business Incubation Center, on 21 April 2015. This year the conference is under the patronage of HE Sheikha Alanoud Al-Thani.
True to their theme "Be the Change" the How Women Work team surprised the assembled journalists with a spoken word flash mob at the press conference.
Spoken word is poetry intended for animated on-stage performance. In this instance, it was performed by three members of the How Women Work team (including the founder, Carolin Zeitler), who used a healthy helping of humor to encourage women in Qatar to "Be the Change" in this innovative format.
The flash mob was recorded on video.
So much fun! Thanks to all the great dancers, especially Tiffany Ho for organising How Women Work flashmob at City Centre! Get your tickets for #HWWQatar conference now: http://tickets.virginmegastore.me/index.php?event_id=2093

A lot has changed at How Women Work this year in keeping with the theme "Be the Change". The conference magazine is now digital and interactive, new formats like Open Space Technology and Speed Workshops have been included to the schedule and the logo and website design have been 'refreshed'.
As always, the most content-driven and engaging women's empowerment initiative in Qatar is blazing a trail, introducing new ideas to the market and getting right down to what matters most to their participants.
This year also sees the introduction of a series of fringe events, including "Strive, Struggle & Shine – An Evening with Esther Jacobs, the 'No-Excuses-Lady' on 6 May, the Resilience Retreat on 30 May and the year-long Soul Sisters Mastermind starting on 27 May.
"Through the fringe events we ensure that our participants are empowered to 'Be the Change', not only at the annual conference but in the long-term." says Carolin Zeitler, HWW Founder, "we introduced them this year along with the inspiring 'Pioneering Women' series to ensure that women in Qatar have role models, mentors and companions on their journey of change and growth."
The Pioneering Women include Qatari and expat women who were amongst the first to achieve something in the community.
Inspiration is provided by Mariam Farid, a young athlete who represents Qatar internationally, Dana Al-Anzy, who summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and Fatima Al-Kuwari, Director of Public and Community Relations at Ooredoo Qatar, amongst many other trailblazing women.
The 6th Annual How Women Work conference is taking place on Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st May 2015 at QBIC, the Qatar Business Incubation Center.
Tickets are currently on sale online through Eventbrite.com and at The One stores in Villagio, Lagoona and Landmark malls. You can follow How Women Work conference and other activities through their website (hwwqatar.com), and the How Women Work community Facebook page.
