With Ahmed Allouh back in the championship, Waled Salim in a new sparky ride and Khaiyat's yellow beamer winning the race against time to be back in action, the final round of Qatar Drift Championship (Pro Category) was already promising to be a mouth-watering affair.

In the qualifying stage, Mohammad Al Khaiyat in his brand-new yellow BMW E46 gathered a hard-earned 68-point-haul, just one more than Said Al Badwawi who lost to Al Jaouni and Walid Salem (both at 67 points), making the top 16 bracket predictable for the tandem drifting battles.

In the first semifinals, Al Jaouni Racing took on the Qatar Drift Team in a battle of the beamers. Jassim Al Suwaidi couldn't handle Al Jauoni's chase for a shake-off as he slipped off giving Al Jauoni a pass to his first ever final in the history of Qatar Drift Championship series.

In the other semifinal showdown, Khaiyat struggled to chase three time winner Ali Makhseed, who seemed to be just warming up for another podium finish.

Ali Makhseed, who drives a Toyota Supra for Kuwait based Drift 965, would then meet Al Jaouni Racing at the finals as Walid Salim settled for 3rd position yet again.

At the end of the night, all the drivers just had to agree that Ali Makhseed was just too good to be in a fast Supra

Makhseed seems to have mastered the art of chasing and could effortlessly shake off any driver in the inner zones. And being thrown into the battle with an equally pacy Al Jauoni in a 2JZ BMW turned out to be this season's best drift battle ever.

A simple slip up by Al Jauoni eventually gifted Makhseed and his Supra their 4th 'Drift King' title at Qatar Drift Championship.
