As Eid Al-Fitr draws near, the Amiri Diwan has announced the official Eid holidays for government entities in the country.
According to the announcement, the Eid Al-Fitr holidays for ministries, government agencies, and other public bodies and institutions commences on Sunday, May 9, 2021, and continue until Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
Employees will resume work on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced working hours during the Eid-al-Fitr holidays in a Twitter post.
“The security departments of the Ministry of Interior and Traffic Investigation sections will work 24/7 during the Eid holidays. The service-oriented departments such as Nationality and Travel Documents, Passports, Traffic and Fingerprint services will be working from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.”

Last week, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that the applications for newborn birth certificates will be received only electronically during the Eid Al-Fitr holidays through this registration link on the MoPH website.
