In cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), Al Meera Consumer Goods Company (Al Meera) had recently launched its “Local Produce Festival”.

The Local Produce Festival is an initiative that falls within Al Meera’s long-standing support for Qatar Farms Programme and Premium Qatar Farms Programme under MME’s sponsorship.

Starting from February 25, the festival will feature a variety of vegetables and promotions at its branches across Qatar.

The initiative offers local small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) that operate in the food industry the chance to showcase their produce at Al Meera’s prominent shelf spaces while also providing access to fresh and high-quality products for its customers.

In addition to recognizing the efforts of local farmers who have been able to increase production by a large margin this year, the festival also marks the beginning of spring and a variety of premium vegetables.

As the country’s national retailer, Al Meera enjoys close ties with local farmers and has been instrumental in championing national products at its branches.

Al Meera frequently offers shelf and kiosk spaces and engages in collaborations with key government ministries to promote ‘Made in Qatar’ products through monthly promotions, campaigns, and raffles.

Al Meera continues its commitment for local SMEs in the food industry on the path to food security, self-sufficiency, and economic diversity in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.

Those who wish to show their support for the local farmers and be able to purchase high-quality vegetables at reasonable prices can visit any of the Al Meera branches. Moreover, the festival is expected to conclude two weeks from its start date.
