MoECC announces registration dates for 2026–27 camping season

Qatar’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has announced the detailed registration schedule for the 2026–27 Winter Camping Season, with applications opening in phases across the country from October 11, 2026.

Registration will begin at 8:00 AM on the allocated dates and can be completed through the Ministry’s official website, www.mecc.gov.qa, or through the Bee’ah app.

The Ministry has divided registration into central, southern and northern areas, with specific dates assigned to manage demand across different camping locations.

Central region: October 11–13

Registration for camping areas in the central region will run from October 11 to 13.

The areas listed by the Ministry include:

  • Umm Al Afai
  • Rawdat Rashid
  • Umm Al Azam
  • Rawdat Aisha
  • South Al Kharaij / Abu Samra

Registration opens at 8:00 AM.

Southern region: October 14–16

Registration for southern camping areas will take place between October 14 and 16, with selected high-demand locations assigned specific days.

October 14:

Sealine

October 15:

Khor Al Adaid and several other southern camping sectors, including Mekaines and Al Kharrara/Jaw Al Banat.

October 16:

Registration opens for all sectors of the southern region.

This staggered approach is designed to distribute demand across the different camping locations.

Northern region: October 17–21

Northern camping areas will open for registration in stages between October 17 and 21.

Among the locations included in the schedule are Al Reem Reserve, Al Jumailiyah, Al Khor, North Al Thakhira, Ras Matbakh, Al Shamal, Ain Mohammed, Abu Dhalouf, Al Zubarah and Al Marouna, with different areas assigned to individual registration dates.

Applicants should check the Ministry’s official area map before registering to confirm the date allocated to their preferred location.

All camping areas reopen from October 22

After the initial regional registration periods, the Ministry will reopen registration for all available camping areas from October 22 until October 31, 2026.

This gives applicants another opportunity to secure a site after the first area-specific registration windows.

Camping starts nationwide on October 25

The Ministry’s announcement confirms that the 2026–27 winter camping season will begin across all areas of Qatar on October 25, 2026.

Campers should therefore distinguish between their registration date and the date from which camping can officially begin.

How to register

Applications can be submitted electronically through:

Ministry website: www.mecc.gov.qa

Mobile: Bee’ah app

Registration opens from 8:00 AM on the relevant date for each area.

Campers are encouraged to check their preferred location and registration date in advance and follow the Ministry’s approved camping and environmental regulations throughout the season.
