The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has decided to close the private Kindergarten which witnessed the tragic death of one of their students. After the tragic news of four-year-old Minsa Mariam Jacob passing away spread, the Ministry ensured the parents and citizens that the incident will be investigated and penalties will be carried out accordingly.
On September 12, Minsa was left sleeping in the bus, which was then parked and locked in the open, without the staff being aware that there was a student inside. When they came back for their duty at 11:30 AM, Minsa was found on the bus and rushed to the hospital, where she was announced dead. Citizens and residents sparked outrage after the event and the Ministry promised serious penalties in a series of tweets.

Since then, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education looked into Springfield Kindergarten and has announced that they will be shut down immediately, as an investigation proved the negligence of the school staff and has been imposed the most severe penalties.
In a statement on Twitter, the Ministry said it renews its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of students in various educational institutions.
