The Ministry of Interior (MOI) in Qatar has once again reminded citizens and residents of Qatar to be highly cautious of sharing or circulating rumors as this is considered a serious offense in the country, which may call for legal action.
In a series of tweets on its official Twitter page, MOI said, "Involvement in spreading or circulating rumors is a serious offense and may expose you to legal accountability."

Anyone who is found engaging in spreading rumors will be summoned by the relevant authorities and all legal proceedings will be carried out against the person(s).
